Founded in 1968 as Warwick Social the club was run from the County Cricket ground. At that time several County and International cricketers played for us including : Bill Blenkiron, Eddie Hemmings, Steve Rouse and Graham Warner. In 1976 the social club withdrew it’s support and the team continued under the title of Red Lion. In 1980 the club took over Wychall Wanderers Football Club and made the ground its permanent home. In 2003 we had the opportunity to take over a vibrant youth section which needed a ground and it has proved to be an important turning point.
